poetry

First and foremost, I consider myself a poet. My other writings - memoir, essay, fiction, are all secondary to working on the craft of poetry. When I finish a poem and know I've done it right and well, I often surprise myself. That is part of the magic. Well, okay. I have to admit that my love of photography is as strong as the feelings I have for poetry.
